Now we can glide with ALL TONICS!

• All tonics that can jump will glide without the gliders appearing, and display a sliding animation (cat, quaggan, etc).
• All tonics that cannot jump can only activate the gliders while falling, then use their running animation (hello running-on-the-air-moose) without the gliders, but they will look glitched if you activate gliding first and then the tonic.

Now that’s a question I did not see coming.

I can see it now, gliding and you say to yourself “hm I wonder if i could use this tonic at the same time?!?” click and AAAAHHHHH!!!! SPLAT!!! ha ha I want to do it now. Can’t wait till HoT is out.

That depends on the tonic. I can do JP’s as a gift box, for instance.

I fully support the combination of gliders and tonics!

Yeah, i don’t even mind if tonics are paralyzed while gliding, like plastic spiders are all the time, it would definitely look hilarious, but still want it! + Bundle items in the hands, if thats not too much to ask for ^^

Edit: you know, gliding with dolyak + kite/balloon/inquest golem arm

I’d assume any time you’d jump off whilst using a tonic, the glider won’t trigger and you’ll fall to your death.

I want to fly with my Quagon tonic! Quagon can fly, yes?

If you can glide using tonics, I hope the glider doesn’t show up. This would be great for the plush griffon tonic, but things like gift box, guild banner, or furniture tonics would just be silly.

Is there a tonic to turn you into a pig? Because I can see whole groups jumping off a cliff screaming;

as in, i have no idea where it ended up, but it sure wasn’t on my main, since he had the witch outfit (which i’ve already unlocked).

I wonder what would happen if I type /dance while gliding as my Princess Doll? Will I then dance through the sky?

No access to tonics, either from your bank or the trading post.

Though I supposed someone could email a tonic to a person in beta from outside of the beta. (Maybe)

Because there is no beta active. The portals are just the invites to whenever the beta is.

No access to mail or the bank in the last beta and no gliding in this beta so no one knows yet.

Yah. You might never get your answer before the expansion starts. If the beta is in the old maps like this one then there is no gliding. If it’s in the new maps then there is no access to your bank and no way to mail it to someone since no mail either. Either way there is no chance to find out.

Might be able to find out in this beta. It sounds like we’ll have access to both the old and new areas. If so, we should have access to the banks.

Keep the videos coming, i would really love to see one with Toxic Krait Tonic

Apparently the Heart of Thorns Glider that you get for pre-ordering causes most of the tonics I’ve tried to render in a really messed up vertical blob of various sizes. See the quaggan picture I posted above. I don’t have access to a ton of tonics in my bank, so mainly the mystery tonics, quaggan, xmas tonics, monkey king. The only one that didn’t really mess up on me with the pre-order Glider was the Toy Soldier tonic, it rendered a horizontal glider, and his gun.

Most of the rest of my tonics are on other characters, and of course I can’t access the TP with beta characters.

What happens if you use the tonic before gliding, then jump off the cliff? Can’t activate gliding then?

I’m so glad we can fly with tonics! I love messing around and doing silly things with tonics and this really fits the bill. I really hope this isn’t changed. We can ride brooms, hold balloons, and run around with kites while using tonics.
