Dear Anet,
Saw your amazing art of the Elite Spec for the Guardian and I’m really excited! I’d also like to suggest giving it Longbow animations like that of Zen Archery. Examples: between 10:05-10:51 Yumi
this
Gasaraki anime ending

And on the arrowheads put paper tags like you see used by priests in Japan and in anime like this creating more barriers that block movement and do damage when they knockback. Guardians have only 2 true movement blocking barriers/wards, one on staff and hammer. It’d been great to have a weapon with multiple of them that do even more effects like damage, stability removal and more effectively stop zergs esp. in WvW and can be shot in front of AND behind or to side of foes.
Folks, what do you think and what would you like to see on the Guardian Elite Spec?

GW2 is not an anime!
It’s just a Paragon from GW1.

I tend to be against the idea of using modern kyudo (or Zen Archery) for the Guardian because it is now a ritualistic sport, and not the combat techniques that were Kyujutsu.
Another main issue with the idea is that such moves would look really weird with the symetric (“western”) bows that GW2 shows.
That said, if the rumor is true and the Guardian is this week elite spec, it is far too late for such an idea, since the general concept and most important skills are probably already finalised.
I suspect the pace the auto-attack will fire would make the full-body draw of kyudo look really silly. It might work if any of the #2-5 skills have long cast time…
But mostly you should expect the current archery animations to be reused for 60-80%, and maybe even all five skills.
