I`ve made already a legendary axe but guardian with a longbow spec may make me leave my warrior. I wanted my warrior to get something awesome but most of speculating were right and now I`m arfraid that warrior will get pistol or smth and I don`t find it fun at all. What do you think guys about name of this guardian spec name? Let me know below

Guardian Elite Spec=Paragon.

The picture also shows them using it two handed. Which while is not 100% proof, it is an indication that its a ‘two-handed- bow’

That’s the point, it’d be interesting to make a ‘not-guardianlike’ weapon fitting for a guardian. A longbow is dull and obvious and boring.

I dont doubt that, in Maguuma at least, there will be enemies who flat out reflect projectiles.

IF you watch the Chronomancer POI when they talk about the quill thrower, and they mention how some enemies, take less direct damage so they are better to be Condi’d,— some will no doubt he anti range, or anti melee

I get what you’re saying, but I’ll hold off judgement. Sure, light+bow doesn’t seem very unique, but if they do it right, it can still be awesome in that “generic-yet-generically-awesome” way, if you get me. Like how vampires are pretty common usage in today’s novels and media, yet it can feel very “new” if done right. Not necessarily with a “twist”, but just right.

Which is hopefully how the bow will be, but again, I’ll hold off judgement.

Guardian + ray of jugement + firearms = LASER GUN

Longbow makes the most sense for Guardian. Excited.

Warriors (and I love mine) will just have to accept that there are few weapons that can be added to the profession because we already have almost all the weapons. So unless you want to make a credible argument for a scepter wielding Warrior, it’s either going to be daggers or pistols. And I vote pistols. Yes, short bows would be an option, but I don’t think anyone would prefer that.

I also don’t see how guardians getting either the long or shortbow would make an appreciable distance. I think it would be great to give them a bow. It’s right in line with their love of fire. And short or long probably not a big breaking point. Though I think there is a nature argument for long, because they have never been a long range class before.

Because Paragons reminds me of skirts,and less “Paladin-ish” than Guardian currently is.

I would like it be called something more divine or royal-ish,especially because of the wings and the spirit bow.

Paragon famous for using a Bow? Guardian who’d be likely to learning from that Paragon? Looks like everything’s coming up Thackeray.

It’s probable that they won’t call it the Paragon because it doesn’t throw spears, run around in metal underwear and shout at people, the blue flame theme doesn’t really match the gold/orange theme of the Paragon either. I predict it’ll be named something related to Keiran Thackeray, like… Vanguard or Falcon.

Why this Shortbow vs Longbow discussion is still going on?

It is obviously a Longbow,it was shown in the new WvW trailer some time ago…a Charr Guardian was using a Pearl Longbow,this is obviously Azureflame or the summoned Longbow.

By the way,Mesmer’s elite spec got a new weapon skin (Shield with cogs/clocks on it). I wonder if Guardian’s elite spec will not get a new weapon skin because it already exists. (Azureflame/Aether skin)

Would be unfair depending on how you get it.

Like,if the shield skin and chronomancer armor is unlocked when you unlock the elite spec,I doubt guardians will get a “free” Azureflame skin.
That would cause so much rage because the skin is very expensive right now,and if ArenaNet create another bow exactly like Azureflame and name it something else for the exclusive Guardian Elite Spec weapon,I can see the flame going full force on the forums.

I think ArenaNet made a mistake releasing the teaser with that weapon skin. Unless they say it was just a spirit bow and the actual new weapon skin is something else completly different.
