Guild Arena Suggestion

I understand that guild halls are not specifically meant for wvw or pvp guilds, but there are a fair number of us who are (or were, considering the general disappointment I’m hearing from friends about the 2 months they’ll have to pve for the guild arena) incredibly frustrated with the apparent necessity of pve for this content.

Anet has done some really good work with allowing progression to pve-like rewards in pvp (not so much for wvw, but that’s not the point) and it seemed like the philosophy used to be “you should be able to get in pvp or wvw what you could get in pve” but that has now changed to “you must pve”. Some of us will not pve. I know I won’t, so that means I’m going to either have to leech off a guild for an arena or not have an arena with my guild. They’re largely in the same boat.

Is there any plan for making this content in any way available through pvp or wvw? I don’t think any non-pve-ers would mind spending more time than pve folks unlocking the hall, but we want to do it in pvp or wvw. PvP seems fairly easy, I’d imagine… A weekly reward track necessitating a certain amount of wins or games played as a guild group in pvp which would allow us similar progression to the PvE side of the game. Maybe in wvw there are a certain number of people that need killing or maybe towers that need capping (although this is tricky in tiers where towers and keeps are generally well defended 24/7). Definitely not a “kill this mob in wvw” kind of thing.

Perhaps to make things more constant, the guild can progress on one of three tracks weekly which would, if completed, progress you towards the guild hall, much like dailies? I’m really trying to throw out any suggestion here because all I’m hearing from guildies and ex-guildies who said they’d be returning to the game for expansion is that they don’t want to be forced to pve and it’s really unfortunate that this news from Anet is doing so much to hinder the return of so many pvp-focused players.
