Forgive me if this info has been posted, I’ve been searching for several minutes and didn’t find any clear answer.

Can anyone answer whether the expedition to claim the guild hall will be level gated, or will members be auto-leveled?

With newer members coming in, and some veteran members that have just been playing very slowly, we do have people that do not have level 80 characters. I’m sort of hoping that the Guild Hall Expedition will at least auto-level people up (like Southsun Cove did when it was first added to the game during LS1), so that all of our guild can participate and not be restricted by level. If they know they have to be level 80, we may be able to prompt some folks to “get a move on.”

I’m pretty sure the Expedition is tuned toward ~L80 characters. Nothing has ever been mentioned about up-leveling characters. Much of the expansion is geared toward L80 characters.

Non level 80s should be able to get into the new maps, however then they are facing tough level 80 mobs.

Anyone who has been playing a while should have some tomes. You get 10 a month from the daily login. You also get writs by doing dailies. In addition, doing the PvP dailies can get you a tome a day. They should consider using any tomes or writs on their highest level chat on expansion day to get to 80 as fast as possible so they’ll have one level 80 that they can take to the new area if they want to help the guild.

Another possibility. If they have a Teleport to a friend, they can get inside the new area. Wait till the guild gets to the guild claiming site and use that to port to them. They’ll probably still die if they are too low level but they can help out.
