Hey All, Devs and Gaile especially…
Would there be any way to get some idea on what kind of influence expenses will be…I mean even some ballpark point ranges for certain upgrades and such post HoT?
I ask because I am a part of a small, casual, guild. We have a respectable amount of influence for a small guild. I am sure no where near the amount of Large Guilds(we haven’t even unlocked Missions yet),but we want to get the best bang for our buck once the conversion starts.
We would like to get some idea so we know whether it would benefit us more to unlock some upgrades ahead of time, or save our influence to spend after the fact.
Thanks to all for any helpful insights.
Well they said that they are phasing influence out.

I recommend a quick read of that whole post.

Right…I have read that…what the other guild members and I are trying to figure out is, is our best use to unlock some things that will carry over before release…or save the influence for these kinds of uses after HoT drops.
I’ve been wondering the same thing. Our guild is pretty small but over the years we’ve accrued a few hundred K influence. I’m thinking we want to see how many architectural upgrades we’ve unlocked, since whatever that special item is will appear and change at 1, 8, 16, and 24. If we have seven unlocks, I vote we unlock one more to hit the next tier!
It sounds like they want the influence to give minor boosts over time in the new system. And also it sounds like the unlocks carry over in that they become “craftable.” So you still have to spend the time and focus building them, I guess?
Merits, now, those sound like something to use up on influence-granting missions, since they’ll just poof.
From what i understand, your best option is to unlock as many things that will carry over as you can, because during phasing out, influence importance will be severely diminished. Don’t expect to get as much out of it then as you can now.
And of course there’s that bonus for unlocking full lines of research in current system.
