Guild Wars 2

Hey everybody. I am kinda new to the game. Played GW1 for some time. But now playing this one and I do love it. Now that the prerequisites are out of the way.

I have a question about getting the guild hall. As you can see from the title of the post, it is in regards to the cost. I know how much it cost but do you have to pay that for every attempt or just once? I know you only pay once if you fail and keep trying. But say you stop for the evening and come back to it in a day or two. Do you have to pay it again or am I good? Thank you for your time and effort in answering this if you can answer.

Just once but you’ll have to pay it again if you swap to the other guild hall.

As Ayrilana said, pay once and you can make as many attempts as you need to clear the hall. If you ever decide to swap to a different hall, you pay the fee again but retain any and all upgrades you had.

Uh, just so you know: claiming a guild hall is one thing, upgrading it is another, and it’s a big undertaking that is absolutely not intended for solo players, or even small groups.

Unless you really, really have both a strong desire to throw away your time and (in-game) money for the sake of others, and a strong purpose for creating a new guild, I’d encourage you instead to join up with an existing guild.

I am in a guild already. Have been from the get-go. We are doing this as an accomplishment to us. Just didn’t want to put that much gold into getting the hall only to find out it was for each attempt. Which it’s not thankfully. But thank you for the advice.
