Guild Halls
okay so u probs know that there is very little info about anything atm
however this is based from my opinion
id say yes you need to purchase the expansion(i mean considering its a feature of the expansion that they are advertising i would asume so)
id say yea if you dont have the expansion that u wont be able to enter (dont really have a reason other than it would be a big reason for alot of ppl to buy it and if anyone can go there …well it just dosnt make sense from a business stand point to me)
id say so to the insta porting i mean we have waypoints already sooooo yea i think there will be
possible upgrades?… perhaps nodes for guildies to mine chop or harvest
some merchants (banker, genera, weapons armour ect)
id say so to the missions and stuff especially if they are making guilds a larger aspect of the game (ie guild halls)
As mentioned above, we don’t know anything about Guild Halls yet, except that they’re going to be available.
From a personal standpoint, I’d guess that guild halls are open for every member of a certain guild, even those who didn’t purchase the expansion, but that creating and expanding the guild hall requires access to the expansion.
Point is that the expansion is for experienced players who already completed the story arch of the base game and have at least one level 80 character. But what about newcomers then who just recently bought GW2? Would Anet exclude them from entering the hall of their guild, just because they’re new to the game? I don’t think so. Again, that’s just my personal speculation.
I would very much like to know if we’ll be able to customize and decorate our guildhalls, much like housing in Wildstar, or is everyone gonna be stuck with same generic looking hall?
It would totally rock if it was the first case and each guild could make it’s own, original themed hall.
Here is my one and only question regarding Guild Halls that I want answered (well, technically 2 questions):
Will the guild halls also add the option to have guild versus guild battles inside the guild halls (and if not, then what is the point of having a guild hall)?

Doubtful they will change the way they work. In gw1 you get to pick between 4-5 diff guildhall skins (at a price), So they are highly likely to do the same in GW2. My guess they will be like EoTM areas. Desert skin, Jungle theme skin, Ice and Fire related themes also. And you’ll be likely to be able to change the skin of your guild hall for gold coin and guild influence.
In future they again are highly likely to offer diff guildhall themes on top of the ones they will offer. But they will likely be on offer in gemstore only otherwise you stick to the reg themes/skins.
Will we be able to queue up for pvp from guildhalls?

gw1 had dozens of guild hall options to buy. Then again maybe that’s because I owned all 4 games. And each of them were wonderfully unique and only cost 20 platinum.
One thing I would like to know is how a guild hall can be obtained. It would seem wrong to only make it so large guilds can acquire one.

In gw1 (just proph) there were 8 halls to begin with granted 3 of them played/looked very identical, nightfall and factions brought 4 more guild halls with each giving a total of 16.
