Most likely it will be fine. It’s not going to be like going from XP to Windows 7.
It works perfectly:

It worked fine for me on win 10 insider builds

This.
What about compatibility of Guildwars 2 and Windows 10?
As long as your drivers for keyboard, mouse and video card will be working in Windows 10 when it will go “live”, there is no reason why GW2 shouldn’t work and for most part those work as intended.
I have only had some minor problems with Overwolf (used for display info in GW2 in fullscreen overlay) for TeamSpeak3 where my weapon skill will suddenly rotate camera, so it might be such thing that can be still a little wonky.
Windows 10 and Windows 7 share the same major version of the NT kernel (6.x) so that shouldn’t have any impact on the game whatsoever.
Playing since some weeks on Windows 10 and running very nice without problems.
Yea, I am on insider and can also confirm it works fine.
Just make sure you update your graphics card drivers when you move to Windows 10.
I use Windows 10 in a VM and it runs the game perfectly fine.
slightly off-topic but gotta know, does win 10 have an option to work just like win 7 or is it a tablet OS like win 8?

From what I saw it’ll look like windows 7 but have some of the tiles. I’d hop onto YouTube and search for the videos showing the UI.

Its much more like win 7 than tablet for me

You can change how Window 10 will work: in desktop mode or have more support for touch screen with added help from Cortana etc.
In general it is no big difference to run GW2 or any other application on Windows 10 and you have the advantage of easy moving windows to edges or corner with a drag and drop feature to re-size and refill you screen while searching on Guild Wars 2 wiki pages with your browser. I would believe most windows user with an average experience from earlier windows will not have a hard time to adjust to how Windows 10 work today.
For those application which you might need to run in a compatibility mode there is window 7 and windows 8 (*) in Properties, the main reason might be that windows 10 have another way for how to administer which level each user have to access different layer of security on each “device” it will run on.
I recommend those people who might wonder about Windows 10 TP that you look up the latest builds from Windows own site or some legit source which focus on the latest builds (right now for us in public Insider with “slow” updates it will be build 10162). Windows 10 will update it self gradually for each published build, so expect to at least keep up with some changes and get informed what is going on.
- Compatibility mode is available from windows 95 up to windows 8
EDIT: Run windows update after I had written this post and now it is downloading the TH1 build 10240 which is considered to be the version which is RTM (for open public download in near future) for both fast and slow in windows insider.

OMG…i hate the start screen…..what kind of idiot has designed that, it’s more an apple screen then a start screen of windows….
It’s working perfectly fine., Now the real question is: With Microsoft pushing as many people as possible toward Windows 10 for easier, merged support, will Anet follow suite and give a DX12 option for the game.
