It says expansion includes base game, I hope this means I get two separate serials since I already have the base game……

And would not want to be forced to register my HoT serial on a new core game.

If it’s only a single serial, you might need to link it with your existing account to access HoT, and no “separate game” since you already have it.

Doubt it, since its written on the game client which you need to own to access to begin with.

Dont get me wrong, they might back pedal and say it was a mistake or something, but this is a plain cash grab see if they get away with it.

+1000 hoping people make noise instead of being rabid fanboys, expansion should be $25-30max.

I’m likewise curious about this. While mandatory bundling may not constitute illegal tying in this case, it most certainly is a cash grab at best. Raise the cost for new players by 5$ and drop it by 5$ for veterans if Anet really needs the cash that badly, but blatantly short-changing the players is not going to end well.

Its alright even though you can only apply the new dlc to the new core game you buy, meaning you have to make a new character.

Most of the playerbase won’t pay for the game they already have a second time, so…
