Gw2 vs SWTOR
Depends on what type of game you like. They both have very different feels seeing as ToR is a traditional MMO with lots of skills, a holy trinity, and no active dodging while GW2 is much more active with less skills and no hard trinity. So I guess it’s up to what you think of the lore of the two and the community.
Me myself, I got HoT because I have more friends playing GW2 that ToR right now.
My big problem with SWTOR is that F2P version cripples you, quite a bit IMO too. IN GW2, you’re simply limited, not crippled.
SWTOR was good and still is, though I do dislike the gear gating needed endgame and how I have been crippled as a F2P. The storyline compared to GW2 … is superior. It’s more mature and interesting so it’s still got that going for it. GW2 is just simple … you can predict exactly where it goes everytime and of course, everything makes you the ultimate hero.
They are different games, the kotfe story is far superior to the hot story. GW2 does other things better like the elite specs and I now prefer Gw2 pvp to swtor (with the exception of huttball but that map comes up probably 20% of the time).

Story mode endgame content, even raids, is bolstered and therefore can be done in any gear. And you can spend $5 on the game and become a preferred player.

SWTOR’s personal story is untouchable IMO. I love Bioware’s take on the single player story and is the very reason why I still want to play it. Everything else is meh.
