Hats off to the designers at Anet who are responsible for the environment design – the Maguuma jungle looks incredible.

I love the truly massive scale, and particularly the height. With the joys of leaping off precipices and gliding around to get to those hard to reach places (or just gliding down slopes because you can’t be bothered to walk anymore). All that reminds me of Aion…

Stacks of detail and atmosphere to the jungle also – probably the most impressive environment I have seen in an MMO to date. Thank god for the minimap – I would have become lost heading down paths several times without it!

But… chaotic and uncomfortable for play. And mini map just usless in HoT.

impressive – it’s good for a muvie. But… game primarily should be comfortable! Because we go in the game to interact with it. And not just to look at it.

Yep

Looks like… Mad March rabbit with millions in his pocket. I hope he will soon lose his millions. Usually it is good for the brain….

I agree it is a lot like an old dungeon crawler and that the mini map is less useful. However, I really really like the addition of distance and direction to targets on the map. (hero points, etc.) I don’t think this would be nearly as much fun without that information.

Not at all. Maybe it is just you need to get better? I have no problem with navigating in new jungle and using mini map. And I love it, new maps require you to think actually. Much better than mindlessy following 1 huge zerg on a flat sufrace. Is that what you want?
