I ve enjoyed yesterday the chance to play stronghold and i like it very much, unfortunatly because of work i ve done just few match.
When anet told us about expansion i was thinking the relesse date was in april, but it seems will be later, and the game atm lack of new contents, so should be really appreciated to give us a preorder and who preorder the game can play stronghold before release, so players will have somethig to play with, and you will start to earn money for your works and everyone will be happy

They can’t give us a preorder until they know a release date, and they won’t know the date until they’ve had a chance to get open beta feedback. No doubt stronghold will be part of that beta.

In 2012 they didn’t announce the date until fairly close to launch, but we had several chances at betas and stress tests even before the announcement. The main thing that preorders got was 3 days early access, as I recall. The rest of gameplay pre-launch was open to everyone.

In 2012 we got early access on Aug 25, and full launch on Aug 28. Were I a gambling sort, those are the dates I’d expect this year for HoT. The 25th is even a Tuesday!

On 23 January 2012, ArenaNet announced that Guild Wars 2 would launch by the end of that year, following beta tests throughout March and April.

Pre-purchase for Guild Wars 2 started on April 10th, 2012

On 28 June, ArenaNet announced that the game would launch on 28 August 2012.

We’re already past April 10, but then again, adding an expansion is a theoretically a smaller project than launching a new game. If I were to bet, I’d guess mid-May for pre-orders and Aug/Sep for launch…

However, since we don’t know anything about how well testing is going, I don’t think we can make any useful predictions about when pre-orders might begin.
