Heart Of Thorns new gear.
The elite reward tracks include special skins, so you’ll probably get those, don’t worry.

what are these reward tracks you talk about?
If you look at the released images of the new trait system, you’ll see that it’s a circle around which you progress by spending Hero Points, each icon being a trait or other unlock. The “other” includes skins.
Hero Points will come from leveling and from doing what are currently called skill challenges, the blue chevrons on the maps.
Meanwhile Dragon Hunters get a glove.
Not gloves. Glove. A single glove on one hand.
Yet another reason why Dragon Hunters suck.
SighDuck…

OOH Rly?
So, there’ll be profession-only-skins? (yay)

Not seen the glove you speak of, but assuming I am correct chances are it will be a brace/armguard, and by your mockery of it, I assume you have never done archery irl, more often than not a brace is only used on 1 arm/wrist when used with a bow.
Some people use 2, but I use 1, it depends on the person. I quite like the idea, would suit both my guardian and my ranger.

Make sure when you do your archery that you always have a pet nearby too. You can’t do the archeries without a pet.

Of course, it is mandatory to have a pet nearby, lucky I go accompanied by my pet turtle.
On a side note, I have found the “glove” I think, and it does look like just an elaborate armguard, Id probably still use it, looks quite nice.

I actually don’t like the Engineer helmet here. Because, like much of the Engineer themed armour, it doesn’t mash well with leather armours, especially when you play norn.

I think it’s awsome, I’ve been dying to have it sence i saw it for the first time on announcement day!
I watched the reaper gameplay video today and now i’m dying to have that aswell

I don’t think they’ll be profession only, though you’ll need the profession to unlock them. But who knows until we see their tooltips?
I want dresses and skirts for medium armour.
Or just remove armour-restrictions entirely (we can all wear heavy or light outfits, so there’s no aesthetic barrier and armour-rating could be contingent on class. And if its an issue with clipping/what’s been tested together, at least give us an armour-class ‘toggle’ that allows us to pick the subset of armour we want to wear.)
As far as specific new stuff… Well, I haven’t been able to afford the existing few items I’d really like, so I’m not holding out much hope of getting anything worthwhile that HoT brings with it.
A shame fun things could not simply be fun.

I am guessing you will be able to afford the Hero Points they will cost.
Good luck. =)

yea a weapon and a single armor skin… god i hope there will be full sets obtainable in the x-pac that are tailored for the classes in design.. cause imo we need a TON of sets that scream to be made for a specific class
What I’m looking for the most are skirtpants and trenchcoats because, we all know Anet truly listens to their player base right?

I agree, that would be awesome to have Moar of these. Personally I would like to see bigger and crazier shoulders on outfits With fewer dye channels.
They need less full skirts/trenchcoats, more half skirts/leggings heavy/medium/light armor, male or female.
I hope the Thief exclusive armor isn’t an Assassins Creed hood again,we already have enough (Grenth’s,the Reaper one,Phantom Hood,Thief starter hood…)
Also I agree that the Engineer helm dont fit. Especially because of the long gap between the head and the chest, the neck is totally exposed…I don’tk now why,but I think it just looks…wrong.
That_shaman’s done some data mining a few months ago now about gear that’s not entered the game yet.

AND I pray that Anet don’t mess up the clipping and equipping it preserves my character’s full beard.

More trenchcoats and buttcapes. “yay” I get that it’s awkward to animate upper legs and hips, but it’s not that awful in this game that it needs to be covered up at every opportunity.
