Guild Wars 2

The problem I have with the current Music/Score for Heart of Thorns is the sounds for creatures are far more alive! And that speaks volumes for the sound development team. Making the world become a living fantasy and fighting monsters feel epic. Yet the Score is just these random sounds being played and the notes are too long and that ruins the feel of other sounds being made by the animals. Birds I love the sounds of the birds!!! (It’s my personal music of the jungle <3) Because it instantly gives the feel of being in a jungle full of unknown dangers. But then music plays like Jason (Friday 13th) just appeared from no where and then does nothing to make you scared, or, feel anything. That’s really sad to me. Video Game Music can do so much more than just be a annoying background noise! I know the score cannot be redone now but come on! One of thee best parts about GW1 is the music. It set the tone right at the start when you open the game and you’re instantly feeling what the fantasy world is about.

I must mention BDO (Black Desert Online) the range of music is amazing. Some sound tracks bring you back to Culture existing in the fantasy world. Like people just got together and played loud and joyful music because life is getting stressful. -I know There is so many other games I could have named but that MMO has great music too. But less known games like “Folklore” have an amazing score too! (PS3 only game)- So.

The people playing the Score for GW2 HoT soundtracks seem very able to play difficult Scores but… It feels like they could just take a nap while playing this music. That’s no fun for anyone. A complete disappointment. I’ve also been annoyed for many years to hear original GW1 music in this game. It will just never feel right, to me.

The map feels large and I can tell there is many secrets to behold. I wish to have more of that and exploration feels so good too. Knowing that I wont be disappointed to be going through this map for 3 more years. I feel good about that.

Fix your score please… It isn’t alive nor has any emotional impact. And know it is true that it makes American Head Charge (The Feeding Album) sound so much better. I could only cry aloud and imagine what more silly lyrics you people could write.

Keep at making this amazing complex game but please get a real Professional Composer!
