So I just played Hearts and Minds extreme mode for the second time. The fights for the “Migraine” achievement are challenging, but doable, and I like the design overall, but there is one thing about this fight that fills me with the rage of a thousand exploding suns.

In the instance, there’s a spot on the ground you can approach that will take you back to Dragon’s Stand. The hitbox for this spot is (for some reason) right in the center of room. It is deeply frustrating to be engaged in a difficult boss fight, getting ready to time a dodge when suddenly a dialog box pops up and says, “Would you like to travel back to Dragon’s Stand?”

It’s jarring, and it resulted in many, many party wipes. This, “exit spot,” is in melee range of Mordremoth. If I am meleeing a boss in the center of the room, I do not want to leave the instance. Seeing this popup happen over and over and over and over during the fight had me so angry I was literally jumping up and down in my chair and screaming unintelligible profanity at my monitor.

This oversight is infuriating. How did that exit placement make it to production? Could it be moved to the edge of the instance near the wall so that if I want to travel back to DS, I can go to that spot deliberately instead of it constantly asking me while I’m fighting a dragon?

Seriously, QA. What’s going on? Do you guys need help? ‘cause I’m amazed that didn’t get caught in playtesting.
