Anet. Firstly I would like to say this is the best MMO I have ever played. I really enjoy the combat, the story, the armors, the skins, the classes and the races. I enjoy open world content, I enjoy the “Grind” in this game as I enjoy the game modes enough to not even viewing as grinding. However sense launch there has always been one thing that has always annoyed me, and other players that I know to an extreme amount. The fact that when you are with a zerg you can not see yourself, you can not see the enemy, you can not see what is going on, you do not know when to dodge certain attacks, and I feel like I am not even playing a video game with what is going on. I have attached an image with exactly what I am talking about. The one and only major flaw in this game for me.

I am not just coming onto the forums to complain, I am coming on here to offer a solution to this issue. I have 2 ideas that can help correct this issue for players, not only will it solve the issue, it can also greatly help with lag in certain instances and world bosses.

Solution 1.
In the general options there can be an option that the player can select them selves if they wish to. The option would mark that if there is X amount of players within Y amount of distance of you X amount of the players become hidden (Such as at world bosses there are so many players around they can not be all displayed)

So for an example you can set this if 5+ characters are within 200 range of you, all characters within 100 range will become hidden. That way we can see our characters, and see the champions or bosses. This of course would be an OPTION so stacking will still be just as easy if needed for certain things. the only thing that can show still is player name, and if they are downed.

Option 2
In the settings there should be options for weapon effects. Very simple options.
*Show all player effects
*Show only partys effects
*Show no effects

Of course your effects would be shown as well.

The picture attached is with post-processing OFF as well. Some people states with it off it helps, me personally I do not see a change.

Please post your thoughts, and maybe other ideas to fix this issue.

Zerg fights it is to hard to see what’s happening. Solutions to fix the issue. Couple listed above. What do you think about it?

This has been complained about since before the game release. And they still didn’t do anything visible.

I would also love to be able to better see what’s going on in the mass events GW2 seems to favor. Please, an effects slider, or the OP’s suggestion. Either would be better than the status quo.
