The rift overload never happend
Only youngsters and fools rage-quit without a good reason.
I gave up on finishing HoT because it’s so difficult. But, I didn’t quit the game. I vowed I would never buy the next expansion unless it was clear from non-ANet sources that it wasn’t overpoweringly difficult (like HoT was).
They also had to fix the mapping. They seem to have learned their lesson with the LS3 maps; they’re a lot easier to navigate once you’ve been through them.
So, I still like the game (minus HoT zones). I would stick around.
I would give is break for a week if you’re getting frustrated. Try it again with a guildie.
I’d suggest simply ignore the completion of that story phase. Come back to it some other time, or never, if you prefer. It’s not actually necessary to do it to continue on to the next story — you can trigger that in the “story journal” tab in your character sheet.
I’d say a week. You can always extend it if you are still unhappy. If you quit “forever” then change your mind later, you’ll just be adding data to the case that players who say, “I’m quitting!” don’t really mean it.
Sometimes the rift bugs. Anet couldn’t fix it, so they added a breakbar to mordremoth so you could break that instead
Do you really need HELP for rage-quiting? Please.
that it makes every other class in the game boring to play.”
