So how many as of right now do we need in order to unlock our traits and skills for our new elite specs….

Reason im asking is i have a human engi, don’t want to do hero point hunting again for my asura one that i want to start playing…..

im not sure, cuz if u try looking into the training tab on ur hero page, the utilities and Specializtions doesn’t show the elite specs. I dont know if the devs did that on purpose or not is beyond my knowledge.

true i just really wanna play asura now but dont wanna grind up the hero points unless theres another way to obtain them in HoT with like a consumable or something we dont know about yet

Just run around the map and pick them up one after the other. There’s really no other way to do it.

There are groups that do a hero points gathering train once every week or so.

If I make a rev through tomes till 80, can i use the HP to instantly purchase the elite spec Herald? I could then just buy herald and shiro straight up and leave ventari and jalis in the dust, at least for a good while

I don’t think we have any official information on that. That said, I’m going to guess that that will be possible, yes.

I wish we knew too as my 80s (8 at this point) do not have a lot of HPs saved up since they bought all the skills and traits not knowing there would be more we would need to buy. The datamining of 250 is clearly out there, especially since it also said that included HPs to get the skins (when has THAT ever happened).

One post I liked suggested around 80. That is how much it costs for a trait line and the average for a line of skills. I only have 2 of my characters anywhere near that as of last night so will spend much of my time until HOT grinding the others.

As I mentioned above though there is precedent for getting them for free too. I hope that will happen but my fallback is the 85 … no way will I be able to grind every HP in the game (and then some) before HOT releases. This is supported because post-release 80s will know exactly how many HPs from level rewards to keep in reserve while we did not have that information.

I too wish we had a solid answer. I would LOVE to know when I can stop doing the same exact grind on every character and get back to playing the game.

I have been running a Hero Point Rush Event for the last 4 weeks! We usually get around 70 Hero Points!

Here is the event times for this week 10/7/15; running twice on the same day!
2:00pm EST – 3:30pm EST AND 9:30pm EST – 1AM EST – Come for as long as you like or need!

Thanks, unfortunately the first one ends before I get home and the other is close to when I log out for the evening. I believe you are concentrating on the under 45 areas too, right? I assume people will still be doing these rushes after to get the HPs for new alts? Which leads back to it would be handy to know how many so people can map out how to get that #.
