When Vanilla launched, the champs, world bosses and dragons were awesome!

Then we realized how much of a loot pinata they all were. No mechanics, just stand here and auto attack. Sorry Condition specs, you have to try. Jormag was the only exception to this rule.

Then Tequatl got redesigned. Naturally, when you replace a pinata with something that hits back, you’ll get the initial growing pains and insanely dramatic whining. Then, as we learned the fight, the whining lessened, because the dragon was able to be killed consistently.

Then things got boring, because everything was still at a pinata-grade difficulty and dungeons were still being completed with exploits (fix them ffs). Game is boring, people complain again.

So HoT comes out and suddenly, that big scary T-Rex looking thing is literally big and scary. Holy crap, this place is dangerous, even those silly mushroom monsters wreck my kitten! Knockdowns, stuns, stealth, I actually have to pay attention!

And now y’all complain? We’ve been collectively begging for this! We’ve wanted some sort of challenge… don’t make them nerf this experience to WoW level difficulty.

The vast majority of complaints are not regarding the difficulty of the map content. The majority of the complaints were in regards to the huge timesink wall for elite specializations. That has since been resolved to most people’s satisfaction. That 68+ page thread was not about how difficult a champion, event chain or the mobs in Maguuma are.

People who complain about mob difficulty (aside from a few select HP’s…which aren’t a huge deal once you get 4-5 people organized) need to just stop playing.

GW should not be a game for you to press 1 and autoattack through. I literally autoattacked my way through the vanilla campaign, and was delighted to see that I had to press a lot more buttons and strategize a lot more in the HoT campaign.

It is great for now. But after a month when people figured everything out, they will complain it is too easy and boring again.

Most complains aren’t even about the difficulty LOL. The difficulty is more than fine, and if you really can’t get along with it, play some PvP custom matches and train your movements/rotations etc. That’s at least how I learned to fight and the new maps are actually no real challenge at all, although it’s much more fun as you get alot more conditions on you and cc.
