Hello there Anet,
I’m a bit of a karma hoarder right now. It’s because I’m kinda chicken to get some gold now from the Karma I have, only to see it more usefull in HoT.
So is there anything you can say about karma being used in the expansion?

I’m a semi karma hoarder, I maintain my karma at 1m, from time to time I buy orrian boxes until I get back to 1m to see if I get any profit.

Nobody can tell u that lol. Just keep it. It’s not like this gave offers u anything worth the gold. Mostly just junk.

I would REALLY like to see more Karma options in the game as I’m sitting at 2.5m with nothing important to spend it on.

1 great option would be to convert karma to guild influence: 5k Karma=100 influence, 50k = 1000 n 500k = 10k influence.

This would make karma useful and help those who have 1 person guilds get influence if they don’t have the gold.

If you have a light armor profession, a good deal of patience, and don’t mind wearing out your mouse button, you can covert that karma to gold by buying karma cloth gloves in masse, taking them to the Mystic Forge, and turning them into gloves you can salvage for the cloth.

The renown heart just south of LA (where you help with crab-herding) is a popular place linen, but you could also do wool or cotton if you know where the heart that sell gloves at the right level range is.

…otherwise, it’s completing the champ weapon skin set for the Karmatic Converter, and… good luck with that.

Done. Karmatic Converter is… well… not worth the pain to acquire it. And I do more karma than I spend with it.

I hope for a lot of karma skin with HoT.

I wish you could buy things like foodbuffs with karma for instance. I dont make a lot of money in wvw, but the food is kinda expensive.

Oh, yes it does.

I mean sure, technically you can buy them with any profession, but I do not believe anyone is capable of buying 100k+ karma worth of anything when you have to confirm every. single. purchase. At least, not without having to do something horribly violent IRL at least once during the process.

I would love for Karma to matter again as well!

If there was some way of converting it to gold that would be nice.

If not please find some other direct way of our being able to convert it into resources we can either sell or rare resources that many of us are cut off from due to DR and the loot restrictions on unlucky accounts.

I would also like to see the ability to buy Ascended set pieces so that we can more easily get ascended gear by combining purchases and crafting as the means to obtain them (outside of the jewelry that is).

There’s many different ways to go about it, but the most important thing right now is that the mass of karma long-time players have needs to be drained out. Then, there’s a good case for adding more ways to spend it. Right now, the sheer mass of karma is a disincentive to making items for the currency.
