Forger/Mechanic/Tinker + Hammer for engineer. No idea utility.

Thief will likely be a rifle sniper.

Personally I’d like to see an Engineer with a stun baton (mace) & riot shield with small flying drones for utilities (think Bioshock esque). Aetherblade Cannon kit as elite, I know morter changes are coming but its not the same.

Is this to make imaginary stuff for the future or predict the first specs? We know engineer gets a hammer. We are pretty sure thief gets a rifle.

Engineer utility? Going by the video, engineers may be getting minions (the little drones). That seems a bit iffy, since they already have turrets and the combination of them would be a headache. It’s possible that the drones actually are turrets after a reworking. Different from minions in that they don’t stray from you. That said, it would make the reflector shield trait for turrets incredibly OP. It would also make it extremely easy to aoe turrets.

Eh, probably minions after saying that.

I think the Engineer utility skills will be physical just like the Warrior’s… I mean they are getting hammer which will put them at close range so it makes the most sense.

In regards to the thief, I would really like to see some sort of magic implemented (like with the ranger). It would be cool if the thief got a scepter and could act like some sort of shadow mage. Otherwise I think a longbow or rifle sniper would be pretty good as the highest base range for the thief’s weapons is pretty poor

I would love to see a melee staff thief. Designed around the GW1 assassin caster (assacaster?) build. It had elements of both melee and caster. Really good for cc and spike damage.

With engineer getting hammer I’m thinking the drones may be similar to guardian virtue. The drones could be just a visual representation of the “virtue” and give an aura effect. Then put an active skill on the f1-5 keys.

The 6-0 skills could maybe be a way to place the drone in a location, then reactivate to have it follow you again, similar to the Rev Ventari utilities. Just placing the skills on your bar would “summon” the drone.

i wouldn’t exactly want to be a melee thief against most of the new specs, especially the revenant.

I really hope thieves don’t get rifle (at least for their first specialization).
I would prefer if they buffed Pistol Pistol as a ranged damage dealing weapon instead of adding a weapon that would replace them.
I would personally like to see Thieves get a main hand/offhand weapon for their Elite Specialization, because of the way their Dual Wield skills work. Would be cool to see things like Sword/sword, Dagger/sword. Or Dagger/shield etc etc.
