topic says it all. will it be a client upgrade so both my accounts can feed of it, or is it just an account upgrade only?

if its a client upgrade ide get HoT, if its just an account upgrade, then not so much.

I’m pretty sure there may be another topic like this one but I’m not ganna sift through 100+ pages.

account upgrade. The core game players will need to download the updated hot stuff too.

XD so we do need to pay for a whole new game, core and all and DL it as well?

The download is free. You just can’t play the expansion stuff if you didn’t upgrade your account to hot.

well that’s what I’m saying, you gatta pay for HoT, “core game included” says the expantion. or am I mistaken?

last I checked those who already have the core game need to buy the whole thing anyways.

the only upgrade is to HoT.

They don’t sell the base game anymore as an individual item. All current copies are just HoT (base game included).

Those who have the core game are not forced to buy HoT to continue playing. They just can’t access the expansion content if they choose not to buy. The core game is included in HoT for new accounts so that they don’t need to buy them both. It is an expansion not standalone game.

yes it makes sense, they want us to pay for the expansion for the same price we the core game players paid for the core game itself before HoT was given a price.

like a lot of others however I don’t see the need to pay for an expansion that costs the same as the core game.

anyways yes I understand. its not for the client update itself, its only account bound.

anyways its kinda loopy to sell an expansion for only straight money and not like the other “expansions” like living world content. so again I had to ask if it was actual content for the whole client or just a goofy upgrade.

ADMINS OR MODS, you can close or delete this topic now…question answered.

1) It’s not the same price as the core game at launch. It’s 20 dollars cheaper right now.

2) Living World/Story content wasn’t ‘client-based’, either, as when you buy the episodes, they are only unlocked for the account that purchased them.

Regardless, you can wait a couple of years and get HoT at a discount, I’m sure.
