HoT and LWS2 Should be Bundled.
I’m going to have to agree with this. I don’t understand why LS2 wasn’t included with HoT.
I agreed with the pricing before HoT. At the time those were content updates intended for active players, so it made sense to charge a premium for new or lapsed players, as they obviously hadn’t been around potentially funding the game through the gem store.
With HoT, though, they made the entire core came free, and including LS2 alongside it would have incentivizes f2p people to actually get the expansion. Not only that, it’s really odd in a narrative sense for people that buy the game now. They have the Zhaitan arc and then end of the mordremoth arc, but they have to pay for the middle of the story at a premium?
That’s just irritating, especially considering how heavily the LS2 characters feature in HoT’s story.

Give LS2 to players who bought the premium edition of HOT at least
How many people complained about the core game being included in HoT and having nothing for veteran players? What do you think the fan reaction would be if Anet gave more to new players, making the value of being loyal less. Could you imagine the outcry on the forums?
Not to mention the myriad people who spent the money and now bought HoT. Is Anet going to refund them all?
Personally I don’t have a dog in the race so to speak as I unlocked them all as they came out.
I would like to add some other benefits to bundling S2 with HoT.
Folks coming into this game for the first time (if there are any left that haven’t already) might criticize the content amount with out considering the density.
By bundling S2 with HoT PS you have a pretty big narrative there.
Since a ton of S2 takes place in Dry Top and Silver Wastes then Heart of Thorns all of a sudden looks like a 6 zone expansion, just saying.
@Vayne, new players bring more money, which means more content in the future by perhaps adding more staff; we’ve had this conversation where you’ve mentioned the 300 strong ANet staff has been working non stop since the expansion dropped.

This idea could benefit some veterans as much as it would benefit new players.
Seems like a great idea to me.
From someone who had to buy LS2, I agree.
I didn’t mind having to pay for it a few months ago. But considering the new story line ties into LS2, it makes sense to give that to players who purchase HoT. Plus there are mastery points tied to it as well which should be available to HoT purchasers.

A lot of those players received LS2 for free. I don’t think the uproar would be that great.
I am confused. Won’t Living Story Season 3 be offered just as Season Two was? Free while active, and at a cost in Gems once the episodes release window is past?
Season Two was ‘included’ with the price of the core game (if you were active at the time), just as Season Three will be. At least, we’ve not heard any different…have we?
