…something changed for worst and I do not know what.

Are there so many differences between the HoT test version and the released version?

Thanks.

Elite specs were available with no investment to grind through events and/or masteries and non-soloable hero points during testing is why, so everyone could play at their own pace in their own preferred game mode.

Well, it seems then that the testing was not adjusted to reality…a poor way of testing imho.

And that’s precisely it; the entirety of the release was misleading and none of this info was conveyed in the past to allow for feedback before release.

You haven’t even played the expansion yet. You have literally no right to say something changed for the worst lmao

To be honest I feel that the GW2 player base has been misled into pre-ordering an expansion completely different from the several tests carried out before release.

Does not seem an honest approach to ANet costumers…

Basically the beta was like “hey check out these new builds! Fun, right? Buy HoT and you can play like this.” Game releases….. “Nope i dont want you to enjoy our expansion, go die in the jungle we dont care.”

So, I will wait until ANet fixes all the issues with HoT before buying it.

From the amount of feedback posted on these forums I am pretty sure ANet will change things for the better, specially with Christmas coming around the corner.

“So, I’ll wait until they finally say no on removing everything about the expansion’s difficulty until I finally give in and just buy the expansion.”

Fixed that for you.

It’s true though- they deliberately withheld giving us any idea how much it would cost to complete our Elites. They never gave us any indication that some of the Hero Challenges would be gated behind group content/dynamic events, or that story progress would require gaining literally millions of XP in the new zones. It’s inconsistent with the base game in a way that has been an unpleasant surprise to a lot of players.

Well, lets see how many players will upgrade to HoT. From the empty new zones reports it seems that not a lot of people bought the expansion.

Thats why Orr is packed…

I hope Orr is not nerfed in the near future.
