HoT idea- Corrupted Sylvari Event
CONTINUATION
(Side) Trehearne’s Oasis- T.O. will be a secret location only know by Salvari AND only accessed by Salvari where they are safe from being attacked should they become corrupted. Here Salvari can buy “Cultural” utility called Purifying Water where when applied makes them invulnerable to Corruption. [(This is a thought but probably would not be that good. If cheap and availiable people would just stock up on them and always use them when the 2-3 hour mark is up. One idea around this is Rationing. In T.O. there are special vendors that you cannot access in the Grove. You ARE able to purchase things like the Purifying Water but once a day(Acts much like ascended crafting)).] T.O. is in an area in Maguma Jungle that is available to all( no DLC required). An Oasis by definition is a place in a desert where water is present and allows for growth due to fertile ground. T.O. while in a jungle, is the only spot in the world where the Sylvari can grow without beinkittened by the other races.
*T.O. will be called Oasis now for it to be read easier.
The Oasis is the remains of an other race of Sylvari that came long before our known Sylvari. (Lets call them Salvari 2.0) Sylvari 2.0 lived in the dense jungles of the Maguma and never ventured out. The Sylvari 2.0 also had a Mother Tree(2.0) who was overprotective of them. Mother Tree 2.0 eventually either (1) Killed off her own children for what ever reason later to be explained. (2) Brought them somewhere where they are unknown. When the Mother Tree 2.0 left no one was left to protect her tree so it slowly withered away. However when everyone had left, a lone Sylvari was born. This Sylvari was alone and lived in the dying tree for a couple years. The Sylvari was very intelligent and created animals made of leaf and bark. These animals were here friends. Eventually she and her created friends left Grove 2.0 and began to explore. This leads to her death where so fights a creature or race and wins. She is moratlly injured and goes into a cave. Here she dies and decays, however her created friends stay to forever guard her. Her body decomposes into seeds which are later found by Ronan and Ventari.
WHOOOO, that was a lot of explaining. Now back to HoT.
The tree tended by Mother Tree 2.0 was created and over its years absorbed A LOT of water. This water then concentrated into an area below the tree and became T.O. as we know it today. The concentrated water cleanses the sylvari from Mordremoth’s corruption and give the character free control over him/her until they have to return for another cleansing. NOTE: I understand that if you have a Sylvari main (like i do) this may seem tedious to do every 2-3 hours if you play for long periods of time.
“Dead” characters who are killed by fellow players while they are corrupted are placed in the water and wake up in it.
Thank you for reading my Idea on Corrupted Sylvari Events. I am aware that some lore may conflict with each other AND i dont have the best of grammar. I would really appreciate it if people could add on to this with their own ideas to get a better, more refined version of this idea.

I was thinking of some of those “impactful” events about Orr and Zhaitan back when GW2 first launched. But after 2.5 yr of play time, I don’t think the developers can pull this out anymore. It’s just seem abit too much effort, and can only be seen in an offline RPG.
I like the concept, but I, like most people probably would, have a problem with the idea of losing control of your character. Frankly nobody wants to lose control of their character (at least for more than a few seconds. I.E Fear or Taunt.). An alternative would be to either A) run it a bit like the Beta Event where you were corrupted by Kralkatorik (causes lets be honest that was awesome.) OR Only NPC’s get corrupted (turn it into a phase before the boss instead perhaps.) and you’re forced to put them down.
