Has anyone heard if there will be new faces and hairstyles before Friday? Would LOVE
to create my Rev with a new, special look. Don’t want to use my total makeover kit, only to find new styles AFTER I create her !

Let’s face it, when you create a human, the option are really poor (especialy for a male), you either got babyfaces, ugly ones, anime ones or korean-pop band haircuts/faces. I’ve played lots of mmo and guild wars has really way too few customisation option when you create a character. I’ve heard rumors that in HoT they’ll have new faces and haircuts, is it true ?

I’d like an androgynous face and a couple of attractive 40-something faces

I know theres new hair styles coming soon. Some of the hairstyles were leaked on people perm hairstyle kits.

This so much when it comes to the androgynous face. Of course we’ll need androgynous hairstyles to match it too.

One can hope so. After creating yet another Beta character, the limitations of the character creation are painfully obvious. I particularly despise the human ones as the women all have this dumb anime look and the guys all look like Ken Dolls. You literally cannot create a battle worn character or say someone with African or Black features. Everyone also looks about 19. Even Even GW1 had more variety in PRE made faces.

I really wish they would update this area of the game. Be great to offer something as interesting as say Sims 4, for facial diversity.

yea, you just can’t create a war veteran. it could be partially solved if humans could use the norn’s feature. Human, when it comes to beard either have : nothing-“a teen’s first facial hair”style – hobo beard

I just want to add, that I’d really like to see some new horns options for charrs. We didn’t get anything since Rox’s ones. And generally, more hairstyles and faces for all races and genders would be appreciated.

So if there will be new faces BEFORE friday you will see when you create revenant..

If you want to ask if there will be new faces AFTER friday..Nobody knows.

No idea if there will or won’t be, but new customisation options have always been locked behind secondary customisation so far. I see no real reason why they’d change that trend now.

Pretty sure there are new hair/faces coming, however, as they have always been they are inside makeover kits.

There was a bug a few months ago that let a few players who used a makeover kit in a short window see and apply the new hairstyles, the kits were subsequently disabled temporarily, leaving said players stuck with the new styles.
As expected no one really complained about that because it meant they had exclusive use until the new ones are officially released (expected but not announced for HoT)

I simply don’t understand why they would wait this long (launch is in 3 days) to reveal anything about faces, hair, or even new armor. I thought they wanted to sell the expansion.

I haven’t seen anything official , has anyone else seen something?

Been putting off making a new character, all expansions in recent memory have always had new character creation opens with each expansion.

Anything official out there that I’ve glossed over?

Unfortunately no. Some comments months back about new datamined faces and hairstyles. And I read about a bug months ago where you could see new hairstyles if you looked at your char on the opposite sex.

that_shaman datamined new looks, but there were no textures available to go with them so there were no previews available.

I’ve got a dozen makeover kits in my bank, but I’ve lost interest given how much grind I’ll have to do to unlock elites on my 17 lv. 80 characters. New faces and hair won’t make grinding any fun for me.

The preview didn’t work so the only way to see was to accept changes, some people with perm hair contracts did so and when the kits were briefly disabled and fixed said players were left stuck with the new styles, though they didn’t seem to mind as that meant they got head start use.
It is assumed but not officially confirmed that the new faces/hairstyles are being released with HoT.
We’ll know in like 1 day and 6 hours and a few minutes.

I just happened to hit 10,000 AP today and got a total make over kit in the chest. I was wondering, does anyone know with xpac and Halloween coming this week if new hair styles and looks are coming? I’d just hate to waste it today and then see all the cool new things Friday.

I’d imagine you could wait one week to use it just to be sure they don’t add new ones you like more. Meanwhile it acts as a useful preview as well as a way to document your character sliders if you didn’t in original creation. You can use it over and over on alt after alt as long as you cancel the changes rather than confirming them.

Hopefully they aren’t lazy and animate the hair like original hairstyles. I particularly hate seeing those wooden looking pony tails from some of the newer hairstyle updates.
