Trying to access new Maguuma zone. Someone said you access through Silverwastes.

Went to Silverwastes for first time, ran around whole zone, unlocked some waypoints. Found a zone entrance I could not access because I haven’t done some quest.

Asked in map and never go a clear response.

So: how do I get access to the new zone?

Open your story journal.

Click “play this story”

It will lead you there with helpful green arrows.

Soooo, do I have to complete my story before getting to play the expansion?

2 steps. One is an instance in the Silverwastes with everyone else getting to the new map for the first time. Then a personal story instance in the new map.

Basically, yes. And if you have more than one toon, you get to listen to the non-skippable bits every time. And it’s quite long so make sure you’re free for the time required to get through it.
