I’ve been grinding for almost 13 hours now, yet my friend jumps in for a one hour sess for vw and gets the portal in 1 hour. Wish my Rng was that lucky.

16h already. Getting tired. I guess i will take a “short” break if i wont get one for that slap in the face

The Gods of RNG are a capricious lot.

I’ve got almost 15 hours of fully buffed grinding in SW and i’ve seen about 6 or so pinged during that time. All of my zones were full zones and sucessful against VW so figure player cap*40 event avg*15 zones (i’m being generous).

Then divide by 12 guessing half the players didn’t ping.

Not worth grinding anymore because it seems like the ONLY players who are getting them are the ones who just log in and don’t have to experience the rnghtmare.

To me though if I were a gaming company and truly wanted beta testers who are going to go the distance I could come up with some kind of way to earn these portals through sheer persistence.

yea its truly getting disappointing because it seems like those who are putting more time into this beta giveaway event, who are showing “actual dedication to the game” are getting completely screwed over on this one.

It is highly probable that the people who are getting it are folks returning to the game after a break – midterm or long. Personal theory and so, don’t get up in arms to prove me wrong as I might well be.

Around 20h of constant grind.

Getting up to work at 6:30am , going to sleep at 2:30am, Uni on weekends, fully commited GW2 player since day 1, 4k+ hours, multiple guilds leader, etc.

No portal…

Try not to cry, lay down, cry a lot…

Not sure why people are grinding their brains out for a rare chance at what will probably be a fairly limited beta test.

Probably between 10-15 hours, not 100% sure. Gonna try a little more tomorrow then give up. Don’t want to spend my last day I can play GW2 for any length of time doing a map I don’t really find all that fun, when what I really want to be doing it leveling alts and finishing PS/LW2 on alts.

about an hours yesterday and 5 min after patch and i got 1

Me and someone else on my SW map both got one within 30 minutes of the new patch.
There is still hope my friends!

About 10 hours total, nada. I’m thinking that since I got into the first Stress Test, that those accounts are null as far as getting into this Closed Beta. I’d love to be proved wrong, tho LOLOL

More than 25 hours now. Nothing. I’ve only seen two people get it in the same instance as me though.

You aren’t entitled to anything.
The amount of people they want to get in will get in.

I remember when I used to be excited to get into betas. But looking at this? It looks like insanity. Is a beta really worth all this mindless grinding?

I have an idea that matches the laziness of this event. Let take Anets paychecks and hide them in the woods. Those lucky enough to find one gets to eat that week! This event is so MMorpg 101 stuff that Nexon does and that company SUCKS! The only control I have in this game is how I spend my Cash, and I am definitely not supporting this brain damaged idea

Did an hr then logged off I grinded sw a month ago for 2 weeks so I’m pretty burnt out. I don’t mind that I won’t get a portal.
