I read all the threads and posts I could find but I am still in the dark. From what I understand there is a pvp beta weekend going on. But I have no idea how to participate. My beta character during character selection doesn’t work and when I enter the pvp area I see “Stronghold” is ticked on but when I am starting the fight it’s just the same as it always looks. So what am I missing?

Use a regular character. Go to the Mists lobby, go to the PvP menu and select stronghold with a check mark (or unselect conquest). Then just click play and you’ll queue for a match.
