I’ve just got a basic glider and the glider only show when I’m flying.
But I see some players always show their wing even them stay on the ground.

How to do it?

It is impossible to have your glider open while on the ground; it will only show when you are flying. What you are seeing are players that are wearing a “back item” (see https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/Gallery_of_back_items)

Some gem store gliders allow you to buy a glider with a matching back item but these are two difference items designed to look the same (see https://wiki.guildwars2.com/wiki/White_Wings_Glider_Combo)

I see some wing in Gem store some said “back skin” some said “glider skin”
please tell me if I understand the right thing

for “back skin” it’s will change the back equipment in the wardrobe menu and always show even on the ground.

for “glider skin” it’s will change the glider in the glider skin menu and it’ll visible while I’m flying only.

You are correct.

One other difference of note: you can dye some gliders, but you cannot dye any back items.

There was a bug once upon a time that let you have your glider equipped while on the ground. You had to use a launch pad and then open your glider at the exact moment you hit the ground. I haven’t been able to get it to work lately, though (I always try it just for fun when I’m in LA) so I’m pretty sure its been fixed.

What you mean is the back items that look like gliders.

There are certain back item skins that have an equal looking glider skin: Black/White Feather Wings, Bat Wings, Mursaat Wings, Crystalline Dragon Wings, Moth Wings, Ad Infinitum.

@Electro I do recall that bug. But I was thinking the only person who could see the glider was the person it bugged on. I asked a guildie once if they could see it when they were standing in front of me and they said no.
