I just really wish the Hylek were a playable race…

• Zintl fanatics and their beetles do not use a proper mount system but instead share animations and a single health pool.

I died.

Cause, you know… just in case people jumped on that one word… lol

lol yeah, when I was reading and noticed the mount* , I knew something good would come to prevent a flood of mount treads here.

I really liked the new hylek species , its culture and details.

This is wanted/interesting/useful information. There are plenty of people that are much more interested in the lore and new races we meet than they are of specializations and guild halls.

The Bullfrogs use of large hammers and wide variety of potions has me wondering if they will be involved in the engineer’s specialization based on speculation of them getting hammers and own use of potions.
Might be their encouragement to get Engies more on the front line like them.

The Tree frogs could help take the Thief’s poison game to the next level too.

Still waiting for words like “new fractals” or “new guild missions/challanges/trials”.

Wanted? For me all information is wanted.
Interesting? It sure is, very interesting actually.

Pet system confirmed. You can tame wild animals and use them as mounts or as pokemons and fight other players. HYPE!

I am a little sad to have learned of the bullfrog bellyflop move before seeing it while playing. (Only a little, there are much worse spoilers possible). I still remember the delightful moment when Southsun opened and a karka first did its roll across a group of players fighting it. I think most everyone in that group died simply because we were laughing too hard to hit the right keys … happy laughter at a brand new attack, that is, not because we thought it was stupid.

An article on an “NPC type” the majority of the players won’t care about after 1-2 weeks of play….bigger then “actual feature” articles written so far about the expansion.

This is very similar to what they did before the GW2 release. We knew startlingly little about a ton of GW2 at beta time from their articles. Anet doesn’t like to give all the secrets away even on base systems.

I really like the Itzel’s approach to life. It’s the only way to be truly happy.

Someone once posted a pic of Itzels and Snoop Dogg,I just cannot unsee it now.
Everytime I look at them I can see Snoop Dogg’s face.

Needless to say they already have my respect!

More frog factions! It’ll be great seeing what voices and animations they’ll have. I like that they’ll be having their own separate conflict from the other races in Tyria.

I love the itzel because they remind me of an episode of a tv-show I watched when I was little.

With all this hylek hype, they’d better make them playable! X3

Thanks! For others’ reference, the relevant footage + concept pics are from about 4:00 to about 10:00.

Is there a lore reason why the new hylek are so big? Especially the Nuhoch who seems to come from the same areas the hyleks we already know are. And are the zintl fanatics the same size as the Nuhoch or are they the size of “our” hyleks?

I’m pretty hyped for HoT, I’m really hoping for a Hylek playable race!

As long as you’re not hoping for the Hylek to playable in HoT because we already have confirmation that there will not be a new playable race in HoT (and even that new playable races are currently not very high on Anet’s list of priorities).
