We are playing the game,
and the game runs like this.
The only thing you can only know,
is what you can put into words,
that you’ve experienced so far.

Lets suppose I love the game, raptures.
Some would say to me,
but, do you really love the game?
How am I going to prove this?
You’ll say yeah, write poetry,
tell us all how much you love the game,
every one will believe!

If I’m an artist I can put this feelings into words,
convince them all with writing the essay.
You’ll say, Ok, ok, we believe you, that you love the game.
But supposing that you’re not very artistic,
are you going to tell people that you don’t love this game?

I start writing,
hours pass and my lines grow big,
bigger then I would though,
my feelings are all over the paper,
judgement of others begin.

I wonder, are we heard?
What are feelings of developers,
when we are knocking on the doors?
Just like a science, minus or plus, money or passion,
who are You?

Some would say
you are to be believed,
that in the infinite wisdom of development and the burning passion
of a thousand souls in the state of flow,
there is nowhere to go but up.
And if we’d only see the truth before our eyes
of the nature of a sunrise rising over Tyria’s torn and broken, beautiful and glimmering
jungle,
we’d know that it’s alright to cry,
as long as we remember where we’re from.
And where we’re going.
Is it enough to say I love you and dream,
or is it like a waking nightmare.
A Heart of Thorns thrust deep into the life of rest and recovery
coating all in a thick layer of fear and anger.
The Nightmare Court chooses only one above the rest,
good and bad,
broken and healing,
and if that is enough at last then perhaps there is no glass ceiling to the realm that we reach for
and the garden that we reap for.
Perhaps there is only up and down, equal in measure but unequal in pound,
the creation of a delirious cacophony, transcending even the Pale Tree’s hazy dreams.

You ask me to write down my love
for this asinine waste of cash
You want a poem singing praises up above?
You’re gonna get something appropriate for this trash.

Four maps we get for fifty bucks
propped up by cries of multilayering
but when you see how they need keys and luck
that propaganda really starts wavering

Verdant Brink starts us off with time locks
The Basin is good enough for the mob
Tangled Depths is like playing in medieval stocks
And Dragon’s Stand’s fifteen minute timer makes players sob

If that wasn’t insult enough
we gotta deal with the story up next
a short as hell trip that ain’t up to snuff
with plot threads that leave us quite vexed

One good character dies for no reason
while we ride another’s plant-phallus to the end
and we’re left with only a promise of a season
coming “later” with no release date around the bend

This mentions naught
that stupid “weakness” bull brought up in HoT

Then there’s the stuff about modes WvW and fractal
the dungeon nerfs and the pvp ranking
but let’s end this poem somewhat tactical
cause I’m sure the defense force is ready for tanking

So call me salty, or full of elitest pride
you white knight defenders
do everything you can do to try and hide
that it’s Anet who’re the massive offenders.
