Guild Wars 2

I have both white and black wing back packs on this account. All attempts to claim them at multiple scouts have failed.

Suggestions?

Is your character equipped with them at the time? They need to be active for the scout to change them.

If you don’t have the skin showing on your backpiece, apply the skin and talk to the vendor.

If you do have it showing, un-equip your backpiece then re-equip it.

If for use as a glider, you have to train your mastery first.

That’s unnecessarily complicated. They should have done it based only on unlock status.

As others have stated, the skin must currently be used on the character you are trying to do it with. You may need to use 2 transmutation charges to make it work (one for each) unless they are currently equipped. You need to watch the entire map cut-scene and then talk to them again where you should see an option.

I recommend using the starting WP scout in Verdant Brink.

the scout is Explorer Mattis (the first scout you come to). you have to have the backpack with the skin equipped on your character, and after his scout message (that shows the map) a dialogue box pops up with the option.

I’ve tried the various change methods. I’ll try finding Mattis.

That worked. Mattis granted the wings.

NOTE: He will not grant a second set of wings until you use the glider pack you were given, in your glider skins page. Get the first glider, then ‘h’ for hero panel, use the skin and then return for the second set
