The damage is done to the existing comunity and imediate response would be good to patch the bleeding wound already. I’m ready to understand the motives behind that pricing and I’m sure most of the community would give you a shoulder in time of need, only if we hear the motives, as soon the response is made the better will be the effect. We are not naive and this means bussines and money is dirty thing, so be quiet cautious when you point the price. Plus you cant simply change your online shop selling the core game for 30Eu and the next day change it to 45Eu for HoT + core for free. Did you just thought of the ppl that purchased the game the day before HoT poped on the shop?

You know that some ppl take it too personal about the sudden events, so you get the thought behind the phrase. Im not here to get laughed about the words i’m using.
wording aside, some sort of statement would go a long way to calming people down and fixing the situation.

Gaile already commented on the situation in the forums and it did very little to calming people down. It’s another situation where some people will be happy with a statement, others won’t, and no matter what is said, some segment of the community will be unhappy still. What Gaile said is true if they’re like another game company I worked for. They are listening to feedback internally and planning what to do if anything. Some complaints about a game are legitimate, some aren’t, and some simply force their hand to respond so they pick and choose their battles.

You know that behavior when a kid pops a window the baseball bat and then goes silent when parents ask him if he did that?!
The parents know what the kid did. The kid also knows he kitten ed but hopes that if he’ll play saint and keep quite no one will blame him and maybe parents will forget.
I’m less interested in explanantions. They kept twisting their tongues to make the words sound true, but it kinda ended up in failure.
Actions speak louder, and their actions so far aren’t doing them any good either.
So why demand words, when their own actions speak louder?! You people getting HoT are actually repurchasing GW2 with 9 classes and a few extra maps (not that much, largely compareable with GW1’s initial release). And it won’t be a bad thing! Anet can deliver quality entertainment… but what if the scheme will repeat itself again, and come next expansion, there’ll be again only one, thus having everyone pay for the game again?!
I opted out on taking that risk. Either ANet grows a pair and puts the middle finger up NC’s nose and not ours (CD Projekt could be a good example to follow maybe?). Or it doesn’t.
