Revenant’s legends are very similar to elite specs. Announcing a new legend and a new weapon for the revenant is not very different than announcing a new elite spec for a class.

To me, as I’m hyped for the revenant, today’s blog post is more exciting than any blog post for any elite spec from a profession that I do not care for.

Don’t they always follow up with a stream on Fridays? People were all BLEH over Dragonhunter until they saw the video. Just because you’re not excited doesn’t mean others aren’t. //shrugs

Also, they announced the closed beta last week, so that was news as well. Would you rather them barf all of their info up at once and have us wait months for any additional word?

And all we got was five skills and two screenshots.

Arena Net, you just don’t know how to do the hype.

We got to know 1 new weapon set for Revenant and 5 more skills … ummm … it is just like what we get with elite specialization, right?

They like to string a little info out at once over a long period of time. Keeps people checking back.

Oh my god. I’m not getting info as fast as I’d like it. I can’t stay excited. So here’s my question.

Why do you NEED to stay excited?

When I was going to see the third Hobbit movie, I looked forward to it. I didn’t have to watch trailers to pysche myself up. I knew when it would be out, and when it came out I went to see it. I don’t understand this constant need to be hyped.

The game isn’t going to be out for months. I can’t see it coming out before August. So why is it Anet’s responsibility to keep you hyped for months at a time? Do you think that’s reasonable?

With Elite specs we get a weapon, new skill type, and profession mechanic variants (Chronoshift/virtues/shroud knight) , we only got the first two with this.

Also the whole Ventari’s Tablet thing seems odd and cumbersome. It could be that it’s difficult to show off in a blog.

So the estimate is 5 legendaries which means we can expect another two weeks of similar amount of information, not including the revenant specialisation…
So where does that put us with the minimum launch time?
3 class specialisation done so that leaves 6 specialisations. So those 6 + 2 more legendaries + Guild Halls (assuming 1 week) + Challenging Content (assuming 1 week again). So that’s at least 10 more weeks, not including more 2-3 week breaks, some lore articles (introducing the Exalted or whatever). They might even do another week on some of the legendary weapons, although at this rate they’ll probably do 1 weapon each week…

I guess I’m feeling a bit unexcited as well…
