Why I’m better served prepurchasing HoT and making a new account, rather than applying it to my old one.
I mean, it gets me all the character slots of a new account, and twice as much monthly log-in rewards.
What does my existing account get out of it? Existing 80s that can hit HoT immediately? Is that it?

Well, you retain achievements and all account-bound progression if you upgrade. That said, it is true that a new account gets far more out-of-the-box for the same price than an existing account.

If you havent much on your main account that is worth playing with… well yeah, migrating to new account is far more value. As you say, double the dailies. Many of us have tons of stuff on our main account though, achievement things, legendaries or other expensive skins. I know I cant abandon mine, I’d sooner take a €100 cost than loose all my hard earned stuff
