As a chrystian (a very lousy one, but still) i won’t support a game that openly and loudly supports same sex marriage.
I respect your freedom to take any stance you like, as much as I disagree with it, and i hope you’ll respect me taking my leave over it.

Just posting so that the false impression of “everyone’s fine and happy with it” (achieved via deletion of any disagreeing facebook posts) is not cemented.

You are aware that GW2 have been rather pro LGBT since release right?
And that the company itself have multiple transgender employees?

This is not something that suddenly turned up after the Supreme Courts decision, it have been part of the game and the company for years.

This is here since gw1, Keyran and gwen even got married.

Funny, some churches are allowing gay marriage now. Pretty sure they’re Christian too. There are even gay people who self-identify as Christian.

In a word, OP, if that’s your attitude, there’s nothing anyone can do about it. But it’s not our problem either.

Well to be honest I wasn’t aware. The transgender employees part – that’s first time i hear it, nice shocker. As for ingame stuff, only marjory & kasmeer come to mind, but i didn’t pay much attention to that other then being mindblowingly cheesy and annoying.

My problem is not with “depicting society” which does feature many things not everyone wants to see but are still there, such as these two. But when they openly endorsed it on social media as the Guild Wars 2, and not individual people, that slammed the gate shut for me.

As a gay man, I respect your right to an opinion, but I also say good riddance.

Now if only we could just get a little bit more male LGBT representation…

There’s same sex marriage? I know there’s a couple of same sex couples but not sure any of them are married. So not sure what you’re going on about.

Really? You missed the whole Faolin and Caithe relationship? There is also a male gay couple in one of the earlier Personal Story chapters.

ArenaNet have always been open and accepting towards LGBT people, of course they would celebrate a decision that gave those people equal rights to the rest of the country.

The main lesbain couple in gw2 was here since back from release : Caithe and Faolain.

The novel had put this very clear, and the game does too trough the TA dungeon, or some PS story steps.
