I don’t think the challenge of Raids needs to be this extreme at the beginning. After enjoying the Fractal changes for the past few weeks, I would like a similar system taken from the Fractals and adopted into the Raid system. Specifically in assigning levels to it, so that those of us more casual players can grind away at mid-tiers but the “elites” can grind up to top quickly and get their rewards much, much faster.

I disagree. Raids are not for everybody, They are designed to be, should be and shall continue being hard pve end content. As of right now, they are fun. If you are not adequately gear for it or fell like you are not good enough, improve through the various other contents or farm gear and then go back to it.

I am geared, not everyone is and i’m not willing to only accept fully geared just to play. Raids should be available and accessible to all to who paid to play the game

They are accessible to all who purchased HoT, there are no gear requirements to enter a raid. Your capability to finish a raid with masterwork tier gear will affect your chances of success though.
Historically, raids SHOULD be difficult. I’m a casual player by nature, but enjoy there being something I might not be able to attain without a lot of practice in the long run.
Just continue with fractals if level tiered dungeons are your ideal method of play.

And raids will still be progressively more and more difficult with tiered levels. GW2 doesn’t have to design raids just like competitors. It can bring a whole new freshness and brand to the idea of raids.

No.Raids are for everyone, but only few can kill last 2-3 boss. That was since beginning of the time in MMO’s no reason why should they break it now.
They headed in direction of ‘we don’t want to be as every other mmo’ and you see where that way of thinking brings them?Everyone is complaining, empty lfg (dungeons)
They removed main thing that’s there from adam and eve,and that’s reward for your effort.Good luck having anyone doing raids again, once they do it,and get 1 green item and 5 even 20gold total in whole dungeon.
Now imagine people’s reaction on some poor item as a reward for doing whole raid, and after wiping for hours.

So far,i saw nothing but 3 glowing elites, like in old gw those guild hall keepers. You cant promise raids something spectacular, never saw so far,and make entrance nothing but green field and some pillars.Does anyone know meaning of the word dungeon?

See, this is what I thought GW2 was trying to avoid with their original gaming philosophy – not having to deal with a gear grind in order to play content.
And the way the raid is right now, it looks like everyone is going to need multiple sets of gear and runes/sigils in order to match the needs of each individual boss encounter, something that takes gear grinding to a whole new level.
Playing raids is fun. Grinding lots of gear for them? Not so much.
