I played Rev and Ele. Ended up going back on Rev cause my ele doesn’t survive well at the best of times despite it’s massive damage output – and those mobs just ripped him apart. I think I’ll be playing a more heavy-oriented class when HoT comes out. Just my experience.

I made a thief first and spent some 40-50min playing thief, I didn’t notice any change except for the xp bar with masteries. Hard to compare the class gameplay in the new environment since everyone had full cele and I never played celestial with thief. The usual class mechanics seemed all same.

I recreated my ele (albeit with celestial stats). No differences at all. But, then again that was by design. Any changes were disabled for the demo

The stress test was essentially the PAX demo with a few slight changes, such as the raised condition caps they are currently experimenting with. Did not notice any new class mechanics or changes.

Rolled a Necro but with the celestial gear it was a tough run lol. Freaking immobilize hell with all the husks running about and no real reliable stun break. Still had a lot of fun murdering everything with DS though =p

No differences but we weren’t there for testing specializations so I didn’t expect anything new

Played a ranger. Other than having access to only a single pet, I did not notice anything major in the way of changes. I did not fool around with the traits…I used what they gave me and customized my utilities. Seemed to play okay.

The wyvern fight messes the pet mechanics up pretty bad, between phases you have to jump off the platform and glide to reset the pet so it will do anything. If you do not you will get the "pet is too far from the target’ prompt.

Pets have been hidden due to rising Player complaints.

Correct. In fact you didn’t even have full access the the weapons a profession already had use of.

First test I played a Mesmer and did just fine. Against the Wyvern she did quite well since she could range across the fire fields. I didn’t see any differences between the beta and current release on that.

Second test I changed to Revenant. It took some getting used to the skills and felt a bit clunky to me but I think as they refine it the skills hopefully will be a lot smoother to use.

Played a ranger, and a ele, no additional features were unlocked, we got celestial stats gear and weapons. And I found general dps to be lacking as a result. I did notice I needed toughness sometiimes to stay upright but not to apoint where I would advise all people to get a toughness containing armor.

Conditions were reworked, as shown on the Wyvern boss fights, with condition stacks now running up to 60, and even 70+ some rumors say when cap was reached at 100 the number dissapeared and was replaced with a ! (exclamation mark).

This could be the introduction of an overflow, If bosses were all modified to allow this kind of stacks, condition dmg might be viable (though might (not) become meta )… 100 bleeds can be stacked by 4 maybe 3 warriors, making a possibility to get to overflow in dungeon as well.. stacks were reported for bleeds and for confusion… didn’t notice torment, vulnerability was still capped at 25.

We will see… And we will see if conditions will get a firm place in the new meta or not

23 lvl 80’s, 9 times map, 4ele, 4ncr, 3war, 3grd, 3rgr, 2thf, 2msm, 1eng, 1 rev.
Been There, Done That & Will do it again…except maybe world completion.

Played mainly as ranger and did not see anything specific, the afore mentioned wyvern pet bug left aside. There were no change to the class, yet I did not delve deep into the numbers. Keep in mind that specialisation were not active during this beta event.

At the moment the pet panel does not show any possibility to select new pets in the future, but keep in mind that this is a beta, and a very limited one on top of this.
