Guild Wars 2

Just bought the expansion for myself and my 2 kiddos I can’t seem to find out, thought, whether I need to now manually install it, or whether it will automatically upgrade me when it’s released.

So — do I need to go to the “games” portion of the GW2 site and click to install it manually? If so, should I do that now or wait? Or if I use the launcher after it’s released will I auto-update to HOT?

Your launcher (along with everyone else’s) will automatically start to update your local dat file once it’s released. You’ll have actually downloaded a fair amount already, because large parts of the content have been tested on the live clients during the betas. There will still be a big chunk not yet downloaded though.

If you got game codes emailed to you, click on the Register link in that same email to go to the registration page and apply the codes to your account. Make sure to apply to existing accounts, not make new ones.
