Not only a potential DX improvement but also multicore support…64bit support…anything that would make this game move better/ use resources more efficiently then a year 2000’ dual core game.

We started having 6 and 8 core CPUs..i mean come the F on…seriously ANet.

Ask please
1. when will we be able to obtain Tribal Armor again? (Suggest Reward Track asap :P)
2. Will Mesmer spec get some useful skills in PvE – AoE dmg skills?
3. When will they start deep dives about Specializations (can we expect them this month)?
4. When will they put the Build Savers in the game? (I know that they stated it, just show them how important it is for players, please)
Thanks!

The Revenant:

We have so far seen two legends that perform very different roles in combat. Jalis, the supportive role, and Mallyx, the condition heavy attrition role. In regards to GW2 gear, it seems difficult to imagine a scenario where a single stat set can be useful for switching between these two legends in combat (as we are going to want to do). For example, I may want to use the Jalis/Mallyx combo, but the gear I would need for either of those to have maximum effectiveness are different. Do the other legends compliment one another more effectively?

Youre at a bit of a disadvantage as most of the questions people have were asked at PAX East, so we know that ANET isnt ready to respond to most of what people want to know right now.

I would say if you can get any new information (however little) about any of the following topics, it would be a major win -

1. The nature of specializations. My top question here – How different will specializations be from their parent classes?

2. Challenging group content. Top question – Will there be any instanced group content shipped with Heart of Thorns?

3. Map size. Top question – Using the original game as a benchmark (and realizing this is an expansion – not a new game), how much new content (measured in any way they wish) will be shipping with Heart of Thorns?

4. Deeper information on Masteries. Top question – Can they give us a possible example of a fractal mastery?

Those would be the main questions I would ask – realizing they probably can’t tell us much on any of them (but, again, anything new would be a win for an interviewer).

Why the hell we gotta register and login to your website just for a chance to forward our questions? Angry Joe came here and collected them here, you should too.

Now that aside, here are my questions:

1. specializations – how much new do they bring to the table. How many new traits, skills. How much of base profession do they replace when activated and how much of it do they keep (roughly)?

2. spvp – so far we’ve seen one stronghold map. Will there be more maps for spvp and if so will they all be strongholds or will there be more conquest and deathmatch ones?

3. base professions – are they getting some rehauls while they’re at it? Like fixing traits, useless skills, new traits and skill incoming?

4. Mastery system. Will be be able to have all masteries maxed on our account once we clear the xpac content enough, or is it designed like that traits and you’ll be rather having your own “mastery build” made from finite pool of mastery points?

5. I’m getting totally mixed signals about development’s progression. How far like in % (roughly) is the xpac done? Half way, 80%, 30%?

I hope you won’t drop the ball like joe did and let their pr talk get you off the track and asking the questions we posted here.

This is one I’ve been wondering about. Are we going to be able to max out masteries (barring new ones as they’re added in patches/LSs)?

Ask them to give us just one of the letters in the deep sea Dragon’s real name (Bubbles).

It starts with a “S”… there you go, thank me later

Questions:
1) How are masteries affected by Tomes of Knowledge? (instantly high end masteries for pvper?)
2) As already stated, amount of maps (“2-3” or “3-5” or “5-10” would be enough info for me)
3) Any plans for after the xpac story? Are we staying in the jungle for a bit or onwards to the next dragon?

Not PvP related, but possibly in the bailiwick of game design:

What QoL tweaks might we expect?

Examples: Our choice of helms with outfits? Better chat customization — client-assigned chat color, custom chat channels, etc? The ability to assign hotkeys to UI click elements such as toggling outfits and armor pieces? (If nothing else, the old toggle from armor to town clothes could be reassigned to armor/outfit). Consume all in a stack?

What’s the overall intended schedule for deep dive releases?

While we know build templates aren’t intended for HoT, what’s the relative priority level for getting them in game?

A few questions:

1.) When they release raids, will the capes clip with the mounts during PvE dueling?

2.) Have they decided whether or not to split the queues for Stronghold/Death Match/Conquest?

3.) When will ladders be implemented?

4.) Are there any plans to do skill splits in order for all content to be balanced for its own format?

5.) Do they have any plans to sell the “Revenant” class a la carte for people who don’t play PvE but would like to have the class for PvP/WvW?

Will the base classes see some needed improvements. I am concerned that the base classes will fall behind the specializations and the revenant. I am concerned that needed fixes and changes will fall along the wayside as the new mechanics will take presidence. I would also like to see new mechanics work their way into base classes and not just specs as well.

Honor and privilege? Dude, they’re just game designers, not the effin’ Dhali Llamma.

Besides, I highly doubt they’re going to give out any NEW information unless it was already scheduled to be released.

RNG is a bell curve. Better hope you’re on the right side.

Just 5 big Questions with a few minor sub questions that are in my mind which I’d like to know about HoT right now:

1) What are Anets plans for Fractals of the Mist regarding HoT?
- Can we see for example a few new Fractals, like the Abaddon Fractal – I mean, you already worked on that, all the work for it would be a waste, if we wouldn’t see it some day in the game later, when no one would expect it?
- What kind of Fractal Masteries will we see?

2) What are Anet’s plans for improving Activities in GW2/HoT?
- Will we see for example some new Activities within HoT and if yes, what will it be?
- Can we see somewhen finally also the missing Actitives, like Bar Brawls, Polymok or Target Shooting in GW2, perhaps together with HoT?

3) What are Anet’s plans in regard of HoT when looking at Gameplay Mechanics like Underwater Combat and its general content?
- Will HoT also have underwater content somewhere in the jungle?
- Can we ever expect to see some kind of Underwater Balancing of all the Skills which really need that and hopefully also Underwater Combat receiving its seperate own Traits, so that the Game offers its own Traits for Land Combat and its own Traits for Underwater Combat?

4) What are the plans of ANet in regard of the Game’s general Performance Systems for the future?
- Will we see with HoT for example finally the introduction of a 64bit Client and DX11 Support at least)
- Any plans on Server Merges through HoT maybe or something different?

5) When can we see some more details about the yet not more explained new Features of HoT?
- A Blog Post or POI about Guild Halls – when approx?
- A Blog Post or POI about Specializations – when approx?

No exact dates here, so that nobody can say, its some kind of promise, just an approx week or month date would be more than enough.

Personally I like the idea behind sub classes ~ quoted from Chris Whiteside

1. Ask about base profession improvements traits, skills and elites they need to be
looked at.

2. When will we be getting more information about specializations and everything
included in the expansion? I’m still a little confused about how specializations work.
