Guild Wars 2

I’ve just logged in after almost a year absent and I bought HoT. I load the game up, see a new class to play and “mastery” is locked. I look at the map and I can’t see anything pointing me in the right direction or anything popping up in the mail box for my first steps in the new expansion.

Is my game bugged or am I just not looking at the right stuff? Should i have to look this hard to see where my £50 went??

Did you input your CD key for HoT on your ANET account? Once you do you should be able to download HOT.

Call up the Hero pannel (Defaults to “H” key), and on the left side you should see some icons. Go down them to find the one for story, and when you click on it, you should see a page with a button to start the HoT story near the bottom of the list of story stuff.

Go to your Personal Story and start the HoT path (see message above)

Must admit this wasn’t exactly obvious to me either, an e-mail would have helped!
The whole of the PvE Xpac is gated by the personal story, yet Anet never thought the customer needed to be told this – d’oh.
