ill be brief,
i used to play vigorously, unfortunately due to real life getting in the way i haven’t been able to play much for the past year. i simply curious if HoT is worth buying and playing if im only available to for a few hours a week.
Just looking for some general opinions
thank you

I’ll be more brief.
Yes
Depends on your personality. If you are the kind of player who doesn’t mind nickle and diming stuff, it probably is worth it. You know really working slowly toward a goal.
If you’re the kind of player who is going to be frustrated because stuff is taking forever, then it’s probably not.
It would work for me, because I’m in no rush.

No subscription, go at your pace do whatever you want and never feel like you’re losing out on 14 or whatever a month.

It depends on your playstyle. If you play with a goal in sight and want it to be done quick, then I’ll say no. With limited playtime, it will take a while to get to the long term goals of HoT like the upper tier masteries.
If you don’t mind playing with enjoying the journey instead of rushing to goals, then yes it’s worth it. Also, how spread out is your gaming time? If it’s 2-3 hour during weekends, but almost none during weekdays its no issue. If it’s only like 20 mins a day it’ll be tough to do the HoT metas as those take a while to do.

If you PvP then it’s a must have, as elites are far better than vanilla specs.
If you WvW lol just kidding that’s dead.
If you enjoy Dry Top and SW meta farming then you might enjoy HoT.
If you like GW2 but not DT and SW then I’d say no.

If, when you do play, you can play for a relatively long time (1-2 hours), then yes. If not, then the meta events may well not be your thing. If your play time is a half hour here or there, then the HoT zones offer less to support that kind of play.
