Once I’ve attained my elite specialization, is there any use to collecting more hero points? (Besides map completion.)

For future elite specs/ future use I’d guess.
Other than that: nope :p

Same reason to collect the leftover hero points before HoT came out, they give you a jump start on the next spec.
