As the title says, I bought the expansion today (bought it in game). I relogged as it told me to but I didn’t get anything, the bank approved the transaction and the money is gone, is this part of a security process made by anet? Do I have to wait a few hours before I receive a confirmation email? Any help would be appreciated.

Yes, it can take a few hours to update.

Anet has had a lot of issues with dodgy resellers buying copies of HoT with stolen credit cards, selling the key to some poor sucker and said poor sucker cops the brunt of the consequences when the transaction is later contested and revoked by the card owner.

Due to this Anet slow down the turn around process between buying HoT and having it be applied to your account. From what I understand it could be somewhere up to 72 hours before everything is vetted. Possibly a little longer since it’s the weekend. I don’t know if they meant three working days or just three days.

Everything should be fine. Just give it time.

Also, clear out your mail box if it’s full. The mails that the items are sent in count towards your 10 mail limit.

If you bought the Ultimate edition, the 4000 gems can take up to 72 hours to show up.

If you qualify for the veteran character slot, it will likely be around Friday when you get the slot as they hand them out on Fridays.
