Its quite interesing
It’s kind of a big week for them with E3 so I doubt we will hear anything until afterwards. Besides, they’ve got to take some time to make decisions and put together an official response. If they just start responding and someone says the wrong thing, they could end up in a much worse situation than they currently are.
Granted a friendly “we are looking at a solution” would be appreciated, but could you imagine the recoil if they respond with something to pacify everyone and then end up changing their minds on that again?
TL/DR I doubt we will hear anything until the dust settles.
Also the Devs are not the ones who make the decision on this big issue, we might probably get a letter or something from someone ‘important’. I think its better that the devs stay focused on their work.

Agreed. The worker bees didn’t make these questionable business decisions, the Suits did.
You would have to rebuy your old car packaged with your new car.
Yup the dev’s likely shouldn’t comment as they were neither the decision makers on pricing, nor the ones who can change the decision made. It is unfair to criticise them for not commenting as they could really only get themselves in trouble by doing so. They should however inform those whom can make decisions about what their marketing “direction” has done. And I’m pretty darn sure that there are some meetings going on right now about the rather expected response to the sales/ marketing mess up.
Lets hope Anet runs an “Agile” methodology of product release and development. I think then they should be able to respond quickly to the defecit their current sprint has unleashed upon them.

Love the agile part
Anet is not stupid and they know not to speak to raging internet mobs.

You are starting to sound like those goldseller spam messages in mapchat. :|
And on topic, I imagine they need a little more time to fully process how to address this current situation.
I have no proof of this but a friend of mine just killed HOT for me, he told me he read an article where it mentioned that the pack has only 3 maps x 3 layers. If this is true then Anet took 3 years to create 3 triple decker maps. He told me he still went ahead and bought it I told him to have fun an told him not to expect me anytime soon.
Will purchase when the game is 10 to 15 bucks which is what it deserves.
Even then I might not find the time for it as I have Assassin’s Creed and GTA 5 to finish and Fallout 4 on the way this fall. With this fiasco Anet has killed the game at least for me. Have fun guys.
and the Devs have already taken enough misdirected flac over this and Anet knows they screwed the pooch on this issue and pretty much killed the HoT hype during E3 when you are suppose to be hyping kitten up. They aren’t saying anything cause, they don;t know what to say or do to make things right yet. One wrong statement could them in a downward spiral. When they know how to fix this mess they will speak up. They have no choice with the amount of attention we attracted.

thats all speculation based on what they’ve shown so far, nothing is “truly” confirmed. Take that for what its worth

Didn’t they already do that with the faqs? lol
Sincerity and trust has been lost with their untimely response. MMO market is a competitive 1 with lots of great title offering tons of high quality free content. I doubt they’ll survive if this continue. Before you know it there’ll be mass exodus to TSW, blade and soul, tera, aion, swtor, etc etc
