Why place character slot Beta if in the small letters says it could possibly get deleted why would a new player even try that.

Or is this only for those old players to try HoT Beta with no risk at all

The beta slot is only for betas, yes. And it does not work outside of those betas, so you can’t accidentally create a character, thinking it’s a normal toon, and then come back later to find it gone.

It is a slot specific for the upcoming Beta Weekend Events. That slot can never be used to create something for the live game. And it will most likely get deleted after each Beta Weekend Event.

You should have 2 char slots. If you make a new char in the beta slot, the beta tag will move over to the other slot and the that beta slot will be “deactivated” until there is a beta. If you make a new char in the non beta slot, the beta slot will then be “deactivated” until there is a beta.

Either way, the beta slot is not useable until there is a beta and at that time you can only make a char to play in the beta. After the beta is over, the char is either deleted or it’s locked and unusable till the next beta.
