Guild Wars 2

I took about a year long break from the game and decided to come back and try HoT. I am still a bit rusty but am trying to get the new ls done. I have a thief , elementalist, and guardian at 80, which would be best for starting back on metas, map completion, and story. I enjoy playing them all equally and all are in full exotics.

For the LS I’ll personally recommend the guardian, with a ranged option. Thieves and Eles are on the squishy side and until you learn the fights you might eat more dirt than you find tasty.

Of course if you are good with Thief or Ele you’re going to avoid the squish and inflict more damage (especially with Ele), but the “rusty” comment makes me push towards Guardian for survivability.

My first elite specialization fully unlocked was daredevil and it made exploring HoT a blast. I highly recommend focusing on the thief if you are good at it and enjoy it.

Tried the first few missions on thief then on guardian and the difference was night and day, guardian was sooo much easier! Thanks for the advice

Guardian can be easier but thief is pretty tough too. Depending on build all classes can be squishy in HoT areas.

My favourite for HoT areas is still the Ranger, Pet tanks almost all the damage.

Necromancer. Very versatile and easy to use.
