Now i already know that there are “other things coming with the exspansion” but id just like to say that arenanet should show off the rest of the elites in the next few weeks, the hype for them is real right now. So i just hope they are not taking another break after warrior’s elite.

Next week will be Pax, which will include Challenging Group content and other announcements. It is quite likely that we will not see a elite specialization on top of that.

Whats funny, i think your right, but even still they probably wont give any real special info at pax, mabye something simple but mostly rehash what they have told us so far.I dont have alot of hope for pax.

We have heard nothing at all about Challenging Group Content, which we know that they will announce at Pax. I wouldn’t really claim that announcing at the very least a completely new feature is “no real special info”.

I shoudn’t of typed its not going to be special, What i mean is that they probably wont show off alot of the challenging group content, also i checked the news so your right krall, my mistake. Im just basing it off arenanets history so far with releasing info. I really dont get what is taking so long on this exspansion, dosent seem like there will be that much anyways, there was more in the exspansions in the first game, They should of waited to annouce the exspansion, you know when they have more of the major things ready, so we dont get hyped then lose it then get hyped and lose it.

Other then the challenge group content they said they had big announcements. Most likely a release date finally. The following week I think might be legendary weapons or something else, then the last 3 elite specs. They seem to do 3 weeks in a row of elite specs then a break. Revenant took up multiple weeks to for each stance.

Although I think it is indeed likely that HoT will have less than GW1’s second and third campaigns (which are not actually expansions, only EotN was an expansion), we just don’t know. We don’t know how long the story is. We don’t know how many new zones there will be, how large those zones will be and how long those zones will remain fun/rewarding to play. We don’t know how many armor and weapon skins are added. We don’t know how many adventures are added. And so on, and so on. So saying that it ’doesn’t seem like there will be that much anyways’ is based on an absence of information, which is not information about absence. Granted, Anet could’ve done a better job at giving us information but that is no reason for baseless negativity.

They should of waited to annouce the exspansion, you know when they have more of the major things ready, so we dont get hyped then lose it then get hyped and lose it.

Then we would have had months without any updates to the game and not knowing what Anet was working on. That would’ve been a lot worse.

It makes sense that they wont release new elite specs before doing a second beta to test the newest elite specs. Otherwise they have to deal with feedback from all professions at the same time. On top of that, players would be overwhelmed with what to test during second beta, as they have to choose between all professions. This reduces the quality of the feedback because players would be playing less of each new elite spec.

It is also clear that they wont announce a new elite spec if they announce the second beta, because people will want to play the just announced elite spec, and will throw a fit when they are told they wont be able to.

IIRC I think in the last POI they mentioned they didn’t know when the next POI would air since they’d be at pax so, unless they plan on releasing an elite spec w/o a POI that week I don’t think we’ll see one next week.

Remember that is on a Saturday so chances are they can get a complete elite spec before PAX at the weekend I’m not saying they will but it means people don’t say we got no info this week before PAX.

This week we will get Thief specialization. Challenging Group Content AND other announcements.

Seems like they are speeding up, a release date announced this weekend doesn’t seem so unlikely anymore.

I didn’t think they’d be posting anything this week originally either. Figured they’d take it for PAX prep (despite PAX being on thier doorstep), but I’m glad to see I was wrong.

I was really surprised we got one this morning! I hope they keep em rolling out for the next two following weeks. I’m dying to see Druid. I think . . . . . I need more character slots XD

I keep telling myself I’m going to stop at 21, but I’m pretty sure I’m just lying to myself at this point…..
